James Zerillo has been admitted to practice to the United States Bankruptcy Court in the Eastern District of Pennsylvania since 1985. Mr. Zerillo is a 1980 graduate of St. Johns University, graduating Summa Cum Laude.
Mr. Zerillo is a 1983 graduate of the University of Pennsylvania Law School and has lived and worked in the Montgomery County area since 1987. He is a member of the Pennsylvania and Montgomery County Bar Associations, a former member of the Collegeville Rotary.
Mr. Zerillo was born in Brooklyn, New York and attended Archbishop Molloy High School. Upon graduation, he attended St. John’s University, majoring in history and minoring in political science, graduating with a Bachelor of Arts degree in 1980, Summa Cum Laude.
Mr. Zerillo relocated to the Philadelphia area in 1980 to attend the University of Pennsylvania Law School. He graduated with a Juris Doctor degree in 1983. He resided in Philadelphia until 1987 after which he relocated to Montgomery County where he has resided since.
Since 1985, Mr. Zerillo has been admitted to practice to the United States District Court for the Eastern District Court of Pennsylvania and the United States Bankruptcy Court.
Mr. Zerillo has practiced before the Pennsylvania Superior Court in the family law area which resulted in an important appellate decision in the area of Protection From Abuse law and the law of Child Abuse (Miller v. Walker, 445 Pa. Super. 537; 665 A.2d 1252), which has been cited by both Pennsylvania Courts and Courts in other jurisdiction since 1995.
